The Bur Hypopack is a convenience kit that consists of an improved Bur Patch and the basic materials needed to establish a hypobaric/vacuum wound dressing after the Bur Patch has been sutured in place.
The hypobaric wound chamber prevents contamination and facilitates the removal of excess fluid by the use of a drain and external suction. It is designed to leverage use hospital vacuum sources in the OR and ICU and does not require costly equipment rental.
